The Moroccan aeronautics sector is enjoying an annual growth rate of 15% to 20% (with a slight softening to 13.8% in 2013 according to the Moroccan Office des Changes). Today, over 100 companies in the aeronautical sector are based there, employing over 8,000 people in total


The Moroccan aviation sector stands for 5% of the country’s exports, it said, noting that the aviation industry is taking off in the region since it has employed over 8,000 people in 2013, a figure expected to reach 23,000 by 2020.

The sector is focusing mainly on manufacturing plane components, aeronautic engineering and engine repair, it said, adding that Morocco is hoping to build entire planes in the next ten years.
